Amazon’s The Romanoffs is Here

Stream Worthy?: Yes, it is a good couples show.

From the creator of Mad Men, comes The Romanoffs, an anthology series from Amazon. Each episode is 90 minutes.  There are a total of 8 episodes that are released sequentially.

The premise is that the a set of independent characters all claim to be of the lineage of the last Russian royal family, the Romanoffs.  Each of these story lines delves into some intricate family and cultural dynamics.  And each storyline takes place in different parts of the world.

The show is deep at times as it focuses on a cast of characters increasingly faced with life’s issues–struggling marriages, changes in cultural society, intercultural relations, and so forth.  The episodes tend to start a bit slow but picks up after the first 20 minutes, so we recommend you give these episodes a chance to shine.

The series features many well name celebrities including: Diane Lane, Aaron Eckhart, Amanda Peet, Noah Wyle, Christina Hendricks, Ron Livingston, Radha Mitchell, Andrew Rannells, John Slattery, Corey Stoll, Kathryn Hahn, Jack Huston, and Ellen Marguerite Cullivan in The Romanoffs (2018)
